Canon SD550 - How is it in indoor lighting? I was wondering if the SD550 is decent in lower indoor lighting? We take most of our pictures indoors but didn't want to spend too much on a new digital camera.

How is this indoor lighting effect created? I was in a bedroom recently which had some type of lighting fixture built in- it produced a perfectly even strip of light glowing out from underneath a piece of molding. Is it okay to use an ultraviolet bulb for indoor lighting? It's a compact fluorescent bulb that emits UVA and UVB. I need it for a large cactus and a reptile that both won't have acces to direct sunlight. I'd like to use it as a general purpose light also for efficiency.
Will a frensel lens generate heat if placed in front of direct indoor lighting? If not, what is the difference between solar light, and say the light from a 100 W lightbulb, that causes the fresnel lens to generate heat when placed in the sun?
What kind of photography lighting would be good for indoor fashion shots? I'm not new, but not exactly very good with photography. To a point I can do it. I've been taking photos of clothing I make outside for the summer, and have been quite pleased with the turnout. However, winter is just around he corner and I need to take photos inside. How can create good lighting to take indoor pictures? I need to take pictures of merchandise to sell online so a bright atmosphere is important to capture the correct colors to display. Do your eyes look bland with indoor light? I'm wondering if it's just me or does everyone experience this? Outside my eyes look this bright blue-green but inside they are the most boring, dark blue. Is it alright to use a blacklight to light indoor herb garden? I'm just setting up my indoor herb garden due to frost outdoors but I do not know if it's good to use the blacklight being ultra violet light and ultra violet can burn. What camcorder (not DVD) is super-easy to edit, costs under $400, and is great for indoor recording? I am a amateur filmaker who wants to put videos on youtube. indoor herb garden lighting? If someone wanted to grow herbs indoors in the winter, would you, from experience, recommend appropriate fluorescent tubes for the grow cycle, before changing to HPS (high pressure sodium) if you wanted them to produce flowers? Fluorescent tubes are available with various light colours and use a lot less current, and can produce the same quantity of lumens if enough are used. How to hang indoor Christmas lights around a window? I would like to hang indoor Christmas lights around a window from the inside. I did this last year, but used tape to hang them and the cold made the tape come off. I do not want to use nails as the window frames are very hard (like concrete) and nails would ruin the window trim/finish. I'd hang lights outside, but that would require opening a basement window and leaving it part way open in order to run the cord to an outlet (no exterior outlets at my house) Any suggestions?
What is a good inexpensive D40 lens for indoor shooting.? I take pictures of my daughters PeeWee football teams and cheerleaders. Does anyone know of a decent lens that will give me good shots indoors. I normally shoot at 1/250 or faster to stop the motion and the indoor lighting is typical of a School gym.
Can the drug Methotrexate make you light sensitive to indoor lights or computer monitors? I know it can you make you sensitive to ultraviolet and sunlight etc but what about other types of light. I notice I get headaches, nausea and my eyes hurt the brighter in the day it gets even when I am inside with the blind drawn. Can a computer monitor light cause pain?
Grow lights for indoor plants? I need to set up some indoor grow lights for my plants, they need a bit more light than they're getting and I can't keep em outside (they're desert plants and I live in the north of england!) Could anyone tell me what I need to set something up as cheap as possible. Put plant under indoor flourecent light? I brought an indoor plant in to my work that says it can tolerate shade. Yet it looks like it might be dying and I think it's because it's not really getting any sunlight. A lady I work with told me to move it to the other side of my desk so that it will be directly under the flourecent light in the ceiling. Does this really work? I thought it would have to get actual sunlight but she says that any type of light will do.
Why cant I use indoor LED lights outdoors? Some LED light packages state FOR INDOOR USE ONLY and they state they are water and weather resistant. If its not the weather, what is then the problem? I notice the wire is thinner.

On QVC, this skin specialist said that computers and indoor lighting omits UV rays that can damage skin..is th She said that, for example, if you are working on a computer, it will omit UV rays and SPF cream will protect you from it..I thought only the sun could give off UV rays that damage the skin..!??
